Following a car accident, Samantha's father is killed and her mother becomes addicted to prescription drugs. She barely escapes with her life after her mother's boyfriend begins abusing her. She finds an amazing family who loves her and the man of her dreams, but everything begins to change when she discovers her mother dying in the hospital from drug abuse. Forgiving her mother sets Samantha on the course of forgiving her abuser.

A Prisoner of Hope: Four Days in a Psych Ward

This is Michelle's autobiography. Taken from back cover: On October 16, 2006, I tried to kill myself. I have struggled with the illness of bipolar, better known as manic depression, my whole life. I am a wife and a mother of four. My job was as a vocalist and pianist at a church that aired weekly on T.V. I was well-liked with a bubbly personality. Everything seemed fine, but the war inside my spirit had come to a head. I lost the battle. I swallowed the bottle of pills, got rushed to the ER, and then baker-acted and sent to a psych ward for four days. The psych ward proved to be a life changing moment for me. Instead of meeting “psycho’s,” I met men and women who touched my heart in ways I never expected. You will meet William, Nathan, Julie, Alise, Megan, Vicky, and Maria—my fellow patients, as well as the medical staff who cared for me. This book will help prisoners of despair, fear, food, anxiety, sexual abuse, and more. It shows how Michelle discovers to become a prisoner of hope no matter how dire the circumstances of life may be.

Hi! So glad you've stopped by my website. I am so excited about everything I am currently working on and hope that I can share with others from lessons I have learned in my life. You are welcome to read some published articles by clicking on the links listed on the left.

After going through a very traumatic time in my life, I began to write a journal that turned into a book. It spured on other spin-off's and began taking me on a journey I never dreamed of. I started writing and could not stop. Now I find myself with so many ideas, I have to make myself concentrate on one thing at a time! I never expected to be published, but felt this was God's way of telling me that this was His will for my life.

I have been published in 200 plus articles in magazines, e-zines, and books. I was very excited to be included in two Chicken Soup for the Soul books: For grandmothers and For Rough Times. I have completed my first novel and am working on my second novel which I hope gets published soon.

I am passionate about writing and music, and of course my family. I am blessed that I have found my soulmate and look forward to the rest of our lives together. I have four amazing children that continue to teach me more lessons then I think I try to teach them!
